Fred Burnham
Fred is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Prescribing Lead here in Weymouth & Portland, with almost 30 years in the NHS.
He has a particular interest in persistent pain, musculoskeletal health and lifestyle medicine, and has helped develop non-medication approaches to chronic pain in the NHS.
Fred has practised yoga for nearly ten years in the Viniyoga tradition, which adapts the practice to the person rather than expecting the person to fit the practice. Whatever your age, fitness or ability, he'll help you find a way in.

What they told us
I've felt more relaxed and calmer after the sessions, with a real sense of release mentally and physically.
It has helped my sciatica and my sleep quality. It is also helping my back.
That I can be still.
In feedback from the last group, the clearest improvements were in sleep, energy, feeling calmer, focus and confidence. This was a small, early evaluation, so it can't prove yoga caused the changes.
NICE recommends supervised group exercise for people living with persistent pain, and research suggests yoga can help some people with back pain, stress and sleep, though results vary. Read more from NICE and Cochrane.
